Stephan RachukOliver Lucked recently joined the Dan Sileo Show to discuss the success the AAF had on their opening weekend, the talent that will be featured in the XFL as well as an interesting piece about officiating in the XFL.
Luck also mentioned that their broadcast partners should be announced soon, and the announcement would be as strong as the Bob Stoops hire.
On hiring quality officiants Luck said “You kind of need professionalism everywhere”. He then slipped in that the XFL would be working with Dean Blandino, former NFL head of officials. Luck went on to talk about his credibility and how important that is when it comes to officiating.
This is a solid pick up for the XFL, and will definitely add credibility to their refs. I’m sure more information will come out about this, so stayed tuned for more news. Until then, listen to the full interview below.
