Another company competing with the XFL over AAF assets

We reported a few weeks back that the a San Antonio bankruptcy trustee filed court papers asking a judge to approve the sale of some of the AAF’s assets to XFL parent company Alpha Entertainment for $375,000. As of this date Alpha has already paid a $37,500 deposit.

It now looks like another company is trying to purchase the assets as well. Miami merchandise broker, NCM Wireless Inc., filed a motion Tuesday in U.S. Bankruptcy Court in San Antonio offering to pay $395,000 for the defunct football league’s equipment. This is $20,000 more than an offer submitted by Alpha Entertainment.

We’ll keep you updated as we learn more, but it seems McMahon and company may need to open up the purse strings just one more time if they want to finalize this deal.
